Idaho to Greece Day 1
Travel days are always such a joy when you are traveling as a group. You quickly get to know everyone you are traveling with because travel days get you at your worst. Airports are full of hurry up and wait moments, planes are tight and uncomfortable and the time change and complications of a red eye.
I arrived on Friday at 7:30 AM at the Boise Airport. Coupled with fears of TSA not getting paid because of government shutdown down and flying internationally I mad it there with plenty of time to spare. We all arrived and made a successful trip.
We flew from Boise to San Francisco. Jasmine had so much excitement about the trip as a whole. Meeting new people and seeing new places.
San Francisco was as lovely as I remembered. The airport was far larger than I remembered, as I have not been there in several years.
Our next flight was nearly 11 hours and was from San Francisco to Frankfurt.
This trip we have four Idaho college students. We will do an introduction blog at some point. They are absolutely delightful.
The flight was long and we did have some pretty crazy turbulence. We made it though.
In Germany we had pretzels and Oma’s something. I do not remember what it was called but it was delicious. It was some traditional apple dessert.
We made our way through customs and got our passports stamped.
Some of us got some rest on the flight. By some of us, I mean Jasmine got some rest on the flights. She slept for much of the flight.
We made it. Jumped on our bus and headed to our hotel in Athens.
We arrived!
We enjoyed a bit of time down by the sea and then ate a late dinner.
That’s the Day 1 wrap up. Boise- San Francisco - Frankfurt, Germany - Athens, Greece
We will attempt to keep everyone posted each day. Thanks for following along.
