Greece is home to some of the most oldest myths and olive trees. The story behind the olive tree starts in ancient Greek Mythology. The story of the olive tree is where Poseidon and Athena and they fought over the City on the island of Crete. The city was called Peloponnes. Athena won the battle and presented the olive tree to the city which is now Athens. If Poseidon would have won it may have been Poseidona. Poseidon offered the gift of salt water and horses. The end. To harvest the olives they use a machine called a shaker. They can live up to 5000 years. They are a type of evergreen. The oldest tree is in a small village Pano Vouves. The Olive tree of Vouves, and there is a museum there.

Olive Trees are popular in all of Greece and are a fruit. I saw a lot of them when I visited Greece.

ummm. I don’t know much about olive trees. You can pick olives. You can use a giant thing and shake it to get the olives out of the tree.
